If you are experiencing transitional housing,y DC Connect will assist you with a computer assistance, mailing address, as well as an email address. All are critical to the housing assistance application process. HUD requires all applicant contact be made via mail.
HUD PIH Notice 2012-34 – Waiting List Administration
“PHAs must provide applicants with written notice of removal from the waiting list that includes the reason for removal and instructions on how to appeal the decision.”
- HUD expects this to be done in a verifiable way—mail remains the standard.
When your name rises to the top of the waiting list LHA will provide a written notice to come to the main office to complete additional paperwork, provide legal documentation (birth certificates, employment verification, etc..). The Partnership between LHA and DC Connect prevents applicants from being removed from the waiting lists and results in more vouchers issued.
Please visit DC Connect @ 302 W. 2nd Street
Lexington, NC 27292 for application assistance.
